Guinness Storehouse unveils new interactive totem experience with Kerve

The Guinness Storehouse in Dublin – the World’s Leading Tourist Attraction – has taken its digital experience to new heights with the launch of an innovative upgrade to its existing display totems.

Previously showcasing static, non-interactive content across three totems – each featuring dual 55-inch portrait screens – Diageo, the global drinks leader behind Guinness, sought to transform these touch-free displays into something truly immersive. They turned to Kerve to help reimagine what was possible.

With the screens remaining non-touch, the challenge was clear: create an experience that feels intuitive, interactive, and premium – without the need for physical contact.

Kerve’s solution was a bespoke content and technology platform that delivers rich, real-time storytelling through stunning 3D animations and dynamically managed content. From live countdowns to upcoming events, to QR codes seamlessly linking visitors to booking systems, the screens now serve as an active gateway to everything the Guinness Storehouse has to offer.

A key component of the transformation was the integration of new high-performance hardware, including a discreet hand-tracking camera mounted atop each totem. This allows visitors to browse and engage with content using simple hand gestures – adding a layer of magic and novelty to the experience.

Better yet, the entire content ecosystem is fully editable by the Diageo team, giving them complete control to update messaging, visuals, and experiences in real-time – all through a beautifully designed, user-friendly interface.

Since launch, the upgraded totems have generated a significant uplift in engagement, transforming passive screens into dynamic storytelling tools that delight and inform in equal measure.

This latest evolution is a testament to Guinness’s commitment to innovation and visitor experience – and a proud moment of collaboration between Diageo and Kerve.
