Refreshing a familiar favourite

It’s been five years since we designed Bath Ales’ website. A lot’s changed since.

Their customers are using a wider range of devices, and they’ve widened their range of beers, and their portfolio of pubs and restaurants. The new site had to showcase both sides of the business, and convey their elegant blend of classic ales and modern tastes.

The sitemap and navigation were researched and tested, and their CMS updated to accommodate new site sections and remove any functions no longer required. By refurbing rather than rebuilding we reduced the cost and eliminated the need to learn a new content management process.

We chose a clean palette and editorial style fonts for the front-end, and designed page templates that put the customer ahead of current trends. The result is a modern site, with classic appeal.
